Makeup research

As our film is a horror based genre, makeup is an essential part. As horror films are very reliable on makeup, as it creates a vast majority of the final effect. For example, Fake blood is an important input to a film, as horror films usually include a lot of death, murder and torture, Blood is a vital aspect. This is because if someone in a horror film was cut and no blood was drawn, it wouldn't be as effective as an outcome. Another example of an important makeup source when in horror films would be for a vampire for example their makeup includes: White face powder, Red lips, Fangs, V line on their forehead, Red eyes etc. Makeup creates the whole image and the scary thought of all the characters in any film along side just horror.

Examples of makeup:

Our film:
Our film is going to have subtle makeup used, as our genre of horror is a physiological horror in which isn't as dependent on makeup as others. We are trying to create the effect that it is realistic and true. Therefore the makeup will be every day. We will be including fake blood in which will be used when characters are attacked or injured.
