Costume research

Costumes are an important aspect of the characters main perception and role within a film. Without the costumes the audiences wouldn't be able to recognize the bad  characters from the good. As stylists from all types of screened things ranging from televisions to films of all different genres create a view in which helps the audience identify who the characters are if they see them anywhere else but the film, for example on posters etc. Costumes not only are used to identify whos which role but they are also a vitally important part in films genres such as Horror, Fairy tales and Sci fi, as they are all a variety of different types of film.

Our film is a Horror based genre, Therefore I believe costume is the most vital part of the characters. We must make it essential that all characters look how they are intended to and are carrying out a persistent role in which matches the character description.

The main costume we have is for the Evil character, 'Slender' Who in which wears a Black suit with a White shirt and Black tie, with this he wears a White facial mask in which covers the whole of his face, Therefore no skin will be showing as he will wear gloves also. We also have the other three boy characters in the film who in which are all dressing casual, as said in their character profiles they will wear jeans, t-shirt and a jacket, simple yet effective as any teenagers watching our film will relate to their costumes as we are keeping them subtle and similar to what any normal boy would wear in general.
