The audience that our storyline would appeal to is a younger audience, maybe around 15-35. This is because it is a horror movie and the certificate is 15. We decided on this certificate because it has horror and slightly gory scenes in, but it does not have any sexual reference. It would not be suitable for anyone younger than that age because there are scary scenes in the movie. An argument could be made to move the film up to an 18, but I think the target audience would be too narrow. Anyway, some other horror films that have similarities with ours are 15 certificate too. Examples of these that our audience may be interested in are Prometheus and Chernobyl Diaries. If people are interested in these films, they might be interested in ours too. These films are an example that 15 certificate horrors can still be good films, and successful. Our film is going to be targeted at both genders. The reason we decided to make it unisex is for the wider target audience. Obviously a wider target audience will result in more views for our film. Our film will be independent rather than mainstream, because it doesn't have a massive distributor behind it or a large budget.
